In May 2007 around about the 6th or te 7th of May we got told some very shocking and unexpected news
...that Katie (my partners mum, n who was like a mum to me aswell)She at first got checked up on
because she had a lumpin her throat but we all thought it was just swollen glands then she had found
out she had deveopled Cancer in her lungs. She was taken into hositpal and was waiting to be getting
treatment to help her condiotion and hopefully this was going to sure her Cancer, She had some fluid
drained from her Lungs and she felt better, she then wanted to come back home to her own
surrondings. When she finally got home everything was going well we thought she was getting better
and it wasnt as bad as we had 1st thought i had been. But then later that night she started to feel
more pain than she was told to expect and then th fluid started coming out from the dressing on her
back from where she had the fluid drained from, We then decedied that she would have to go back in
the get checked an get thr dressing changed etc, When she finially got talked into going back in
again which she didnt want to do she got checked on and the nurses decieded that she was to stay
back in for a few more days to get monitiored, she then got test after test done- The results werent
good ...but little did any of us know. We learned after Katies death that she had kept her condition
to herself, she Died 2days later on the 12th of May 2007 at 11.30am aged a shocking young age of
48years!!!. She had cancer in her lungs that had spread to her kidneys then she had lump in her
throat that was also Cancer and her acual cause of death was when a blood clot to her heart, the
blood stop pumping though to her heart:O.
Katie was a wonderful funny kind a thoughtful mum sister auntie and nanna.
She was loved by everyone she would do anything for anyone as long as you didnt take the piss.
Katie is missed so much and although its nearly 2years that have passed we still all miss you so
much and dearly, Michael misses you soooo much and so i and Ellie misses her nanna and were all so
very sad that you didnt even get to meet the new addiotion Tia-Katie ...n yes her middle name is
after her nanna cause u will never be forgotten.
